1998 was the fourth time Chevrolet Corvette was selected as the Indy 500 Pace Car. The specific color scheme they chose was "Radar Blue", and the yellow rims and paint stripes presented the car as one of Indy's most extreme looks for a pace car. This year of Corvette was the C5 sported with a 5.7L LS-1 V8 engine which also features an Active Handling chassis control system. The C5 puts out 345 horsepower and 350 pounds of torque which will get this car from 0-60 in 5 seconds flat.
