The 1970 Corvette Convertible C3 Stingray had a fairly poor year due to a late start in the production year. Sales were at there lowest since 1962. There was 6,648 Convertibles manufactured that year and a total of 17,316 Corvettes manufactured that year. This Stingray has a 350 ci small block V8 LT-1 engine that produces 370 horse power. In fact there were 1,287 Corvettes that were sold using that engine but a total of only 400 were LT-1 Convertible's and less then 250 of those Convertibles are known to exist. The exterior paint color is called bridgehampton blue with a black top and the exterior is all delux black leather. This Corvette has a 4 speed manual transmission but there were options for a 3 speed automatic tranny instead.
There was also two other engine options for the 1970 Corvettes that year. There was a Corvette available that year with a 350 L-46 engine that put out 350 horse power. That was the most popular corvette engine that year with a total of 4,910 cars manufactured. Then there was a more powerful engine than the other two which consisted of a 454 LS-5 engine Corvette that put out 390 horse power. Those Corvettes were the second most popular corvette engine with a total of 4,473 manufactured that year.
