For the early 50's this is a pretty tight looking little engine photo. The only problem was that it only had 150 horsepower. Chevrolet had trouble marketing Corvettes because of competition like Ford Mustangs at the time who provided the advantage of a lot more horsepower. Corvettes did catch on however and were as popular as ever a few years down the line after Chevrolet started puting larger engines into their cars.
